Leadwork
Lead flashing is the critical waterproof seal where your roof meets brickwork, chimneys, and valleys. When lead cracks or pulls away from the wall, water pours straight into your home. We install and repair traditional leadwork to keep vulnerable junctions watertight.
When You Need Leadwork Services
Water leaking directly around your chimney breast during heavy rain. Lead flashing pulling out of brickwork mortar joints or sagging. Cracks, splits, or white powdery corrosion visible on old lead valleys or flat roof details. Damp patches appearing on walls near chimney stacks or roof intersections.
How We Do It
We inspect your chimney flashings, step flashing, valleys, and roof junctions for failure points. We safely remove damaged or corroded old leadwork and rake out affected mortar joints. We shape and install new code-compliant milled lead sheet, tucking it securely into brickwork joints and pointing with fresh mortar. We test and check the seal to ensure complete waterproofing against driving rain.
What to Expect
Most lead flashing repairs or valley replacements are completed within 1 day.
